Membership
Who can join Health Tech Hub Copenhagen?
HTHC is open to startups and scaleups developing data-driven software or medtech with a software component — at any growth stage. Whether you’re pre-seed or Series B, you’re welcome to apply as long as health tech is your core focus. We also welcome international companies looking to enter or scale in Denmark and the Nordics.
Does membership cover my entire team?
Yes. One membership gives every person at your company full access — from founders and engineers to business developers and clinical leads. There’s no per-seat pricing and no limit on the number of team members who can join events, programmes, or the Slack community.
How long is the membership period?
Memberships run for 12 months from the date of activation and renew annually. We’ll always give you advance notice before renewal so you can decide whether to continue.
Is HTHC only for Danish companies?
No. A significant number of our 85+ members are headquartered outside Denmark. If Denmark or the Nordics is a target market for your solution, HTHC can help you navigate the landscape — from procurement structures to regulatory pathways and investor introductions.
What’s the difference between HTHC and a startup accelerator?
We’re not an accelerator. We don’t take equity, run fixed cohorts, or limit membership to early-stage companies. HTHC is an ongoing membership hub designed to support health tech companies at any stage — with continuous access to market connections, funding introductions, regulatory guidance, and community. You join when it’s right for your company, and stay as long as it’s valuable.
How do I apply for membership?
You can book a meeting with our Membership Manager, Line Rasmussen, or share your details via the contact form on our membership page. We’ll review your information, have an informal conversation, and confirm whether HTHC is a good fit. The process typically takes 1–2 weeks from first contact to activation.
Pricing
How much does a membership cost?
A membership costs 14,500 DKK per year (excl. VAT), invoiced annually. This covers your entire company — every employee gets full access to all events, programmes, partner discounts, and the Slack community. There’s no per-seat pricing and no hidden fees.
Are there discounts for early-stage companies?
We assess membership fit on a case-by-case basis and understand that early-stage companies have different constraints. Reach out to Line Rasmussen directly to discuss your situation — we’re pragmatic and want the right companies in the ecosystem regardless of stage.
Is there a minimum commitment period?
Memberships are annual — the minimum commitment is 12 months. We invoice at the start of each membership year. We don’t offer monthly billing at this time, but we’re happy to have a conversation if your situation requires flexibility.
Benefits & Community
What kind of events does HTHC run?
We run 25+ events per year, ranging from our flagship Copenhagen Health Tech Summit and Life Science Invest pitching events to weekly HUB Friday Bars, expert roundtables, regulatory workshops, and international conference participations. All are included in your membership — no event requires an additional ticket fee.
How does the investor network work?
We facilitate connections to investors who are actively looking at health tech companies — through our Life Science Invest pitching event series, individual investor introductions matched to your stage and focus, and pitch coaching to help you prepare. We don’t take equity. We make the introductions and let you take it from there.
What is the Slack community like?
All members get access to a shared Slack workspace with channels covering regulatory questions, business development, market access, jobs, and more. It’s genuinely active — questions get answered, peer intros happen, and collaboration opportunities emerge daily. Founders find it especially valuable for quick, candid knowledge exchange with others who have navigated the same challenges.
Is there a physical space I can use?
Yes. Members have access to office space at our Copenhagen location at Danneskiold-Samsøes Allé 41, 1434 Copenhagen K. Availability is subject to capacity — contact us to arrange access for your team.
How do partner discounts work?
Once you’re a member, you receive a welcome package with instructions for each partner deal. Some are accessed via a unique discount code, others through a direct introduction from our team. We typically add 3–5 new partner benefits per year. Members are notified via Slack and email when new deals go live.
Market Access
How does HTHC help us enter the Danish market?
We connect you directly with hospital procurement officers, clinical decision-makers, and regional health authorities — the people who actually evaluate and implement health tech solutions. We also facilitate peer learning from members who’ve already navigated Danish procurement, and run roundtables on market access strategies specific to the Danish and Nordic healthcare systems.
Can HTHC help us access markets outside Denmark?
Yes. We organise Global Delegations — market-entry visits to the UK, Germany, the US, and other key markets — with in-person introductions to local stakeholders, payers, and potential partners. We also run knowledge sessions with reimbursement and go-to-market experts for specific geographies. Members who have used these programmes report them as among the highest-value benefits.
Do you help with hospital pilots and procurement?
We facilitate introductions and provide context on how hospital procurement works in Denmark — but we don’t run pilot programmes ourselves. What we do is ensure you’re speaking to the right people at the right time, and that you understand the decision-making structures before you walk into those conversations.
Regulatory Support
What is Health Tech Pathways?
Health Tech Pathways is an AI-guided platform that helps health tech companies navigate EU MDR/IVDR compliance and CE marking. It’s backed by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and available to all HTHC members. You can start with a free MDR classification check to understand whether and how the Medical Device Regulation applies to your product — and map your regulatory pathway from there.
Does my product need to be a medical device to benefit from regulatory support?
Not necessarily. Regulatory support is useful at any stage — even if you’re trying to determine whether EU MDR applies to your product at all. Many founders are surprised to discover that products they assumed were outside scope actually require CE marking. Starting the conversation early almost always reduces time and cost to market.
Is the MDR classification check on Health Tech Pathways free?
Yes — the MDR classification check is free for everyone, members and non-members alike. HTHC members get access to additional platform features and guided regulatory support beyond the initial check. Contact Line Rasmussen when you join to learn what’s currently included in the member package.
